You will quit on yourself.

You won’t quit on your team.

Everyone, “whether they consciously know it or not, wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves”

  • Community
  • Team
  • Business
  • Church

People want to work with others to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

Hitting is mental; we all know that. It’s even more mental when all you focus on is YOU.

  • “My stats”
  • “My offers
  • “My contract”
  • “My slump”
  • “My playing time”

me, me, me!

Do you want to know how to release all that stress from a player’s shoulder?

By convincing them, they will improve their “stats,” “offers,” “contract,” and “playing time” by focusing on…the team.

Have you ever watched a sporting event and afterward, they interview the best player, and they give a generic answer like “I was just trying to help my team win”

Most people write that off as the politically correct answer to give, “the PR team told them to say that”

The best players know that’s the biggest unlock to their success.

They know their numbers will BE BETTER if they focus on the team.

  • Encourage teammates
  • Play hard
  • Talk with coaches on how to get better
  • Have a growth mindset
  • Lead by example.

Listen to Josh Donaldson explain how focusing on the team unlocked him to play his best baseball.

Focus on the team; not only will you have more fun, but you will also have better stats because of it.

I promise.

Summary:

  1. Less thinking of yourself

  2. How can you help the team today?

  3. If you do 1 and 2, you will play better

Thanks,

Patrick
