What Will You Learn Inside
Chapter 1: Swing Decision Education
In this chapter, you will learn about the 3 types of hitters and how that will shape their approach at the plate. We will discuss the rulebook strike zone and the called strike zone. Lastly, we discuss umpire tendencies, and count statistics, which is a great talking point you can share with your hitters.
Chapter 1: Umpire Tendencies
In this section, you will learn the rule book strike zone, and more importantly the called strike zone. We also discuss recent studies on the strike zone and how they could impact the way a hitter approaches an AB.
Chapter 2: Vision
In this chapter, you'll learn several ways to help hitters see the ball better. Everyone knows that vision is important, but how do the eyes work best? Where should hitter be looking in the box? You will also be able to see visuals and examples of simple ways to help hitters pick up the ball better in the box.
Chapter 3: Pitch Tipping
In this chapter, you'll learn all of the ways pitchers tip their pitches, and what to look for. Teaching hitters what to look for is one of the lowest hanging fruits to help hitters improve their swing decisions.
Chapter 4: Building A Plan
Inside this chapter you will learn about the 3 types of pitchers and how to game plan for each of them. The statistics you should look at when game planning against a pitcher, and how to individualize a game plan for each hitter.
Chapter 5: Drills
In this chapter, you'll learn drills to help your hitters control the strike zone. These drills can be done in a small group, 1-1, or practice setting. Lastly, you'll receive a hitter's checklist for them to fill out after each game right on their phone.

Nothing develops hitters like getting them to compete. Swing Decisions is no different! In this section you'll learn several different competitions you can do with your hitters in practice and in the game.

Hi, I'm Patrick Jones.
I help educate coaches on the best methods to develop hitters.
For the past seven years, I have been coaching full-time at various levels, from high school baseball to becoming a hitting coach in the Baltimore Orioles organization and nearly everywhere in-between.
